Toddlers are divided into two groups. The Big Dogs are 2 to 2 1/2 years old.

Big Dogs are active participants in their daily care. They have the opportuniity to try many things independently and are given choices whenever possible.

Big Dogs are encouraged to use their newly acquired words and to practice new skills. Our classes follow weekly themes. The days are filled with books, flannelboard stories, songs, fingerplays, art projects, free play, outside play, hugs, laughter, caregiving and movement activities. Although there is structure to our day, Big Dogs have the freedom to explore their environment.

The children are encouraged to be the unique individuals that they are.
